Health: Seventh-Month Update

It’s been seven months since I started weight training and a few months since my last update. I figured it was about time.

I’ve dropped down to 133.6 lbs as of this morning. I had stopped working out for about a month due to my knee and just overall laziness. I also had increased my intake of chocolate and other sweets. About a week or two ago I went from 135 to about 139 which isn’t bad, but I could see my abs and hips begin to soften. That kind of shook me so I decided to get back to the gym with a quickness. I went last week and today.

I have been going to yoga once a week which has been great for my left knee. I also was able to accomplish two poses I hadn’t been able to before; Wheel and Crow. I was so excited when I was able to do Crow, I almost fell over. I’ll do a separate post showing you all the poses  once I’m able to do a couple more advanced ones.

I’m still squatting my weight and pressing about 270 with my legs. I had to drop back on my bench press because of the break, but I’m attempting to work back up.  I also started back running on the trail as well as on the treadmill. The treadmill is an evil abomination and that’s all I’ll say on that.

I’ve been playing around with a few recipes trying to stay on the healthier side of things. I slip up every once in a while but overall my eating habits have been good. I got a food photography post coming up so you can see what I like to eat.

For this photo comparison I’ll show what I looked like before and a few from the last update as well as today.

As you can see, I’m a lot slimmer and more well-defined from April to August. Clothing size-wise I’m between a 6 and an 8 in jeans, a 6 in dress pants, dresses, and skirts. In about a year and a half I’ve lost 77 lbs.

Welp, that’s all I got for today.

Peace & Love,
