JAM is a Northeast Ohio Music & Art Magazine that started as just a vague idea. I’ve always loved magazine design which influences a lot of my work. I love keeping things simple and clean with the information being presented in a very clear manner.
This is a companion magazine to this blog. The first issue is focuses on 10 of my favorite bands that I saw in 2014. Eight of them are local and the other two are out-of-state. All of the photos were taken by me. In between the small articles, there is art work that I also created. For this particular project, I used InDesign to create the layout. The photos were edited in Photoshop and the art work was done in a combination of Photoshop, Illustrator, and traditional ink.
I’m extremely happy with the way it came out and I hope that it picks up steam. As of right now, I’m trying to decide if I want it to be bi-annually or quarterly. I’m leaning more towards the latter, but I know I like to place a lot of work on myself so it may be a bit much.
I’ll keep you all posted on my decision. For now, you can check out, download, and share the magazine here.
As always, thank you for reading. I appreciate all of you.
