Quick Album Review: Daft Punk

daft_punkposter

I created this Daft Punk poster (above) the other day by following a tutorial and putting a bit of a spin on it. Their newest album has been on repeat for the last two weeks or so and I decided it was about time for me to write a small review for it.

Daft Punk is French electronic music duo. They’ve been around since 1993, but I just recently found out about them when I heard their song with Pharrell.

I’m going to cut right to the chase. “Random Access Memories” is an amazing album. It just flows together so perfectly. My top 3 favorite songs would have to be “Instant Crush”, “Lose Yourself to Dance” (Pharrell is amazing, immortal, and incredibly handsome) and “Fragments of Time.”

When I initially heard about this group I thought that they would be more like Skrillex. They are nothing like Skrillex. Instead their music is way more relaxing. The type of music I would just sit and listen to while drawing.  Skrillex is way too distracting to do something like that. Daft Punk is definitely a 9.3 out of 10 in my book.

I’ve provided the song “Instant Crush” below. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

  1. Lose Yourself to Dance is my top song. The music video is featured on their website. Check it out, it’s awesome.
