Saturday, after yoga I decided to have a mini-picnic at one of the local metro parks. I love hanging out, outside and the day was perfect for it. So, I packed up my work for the day, as well as food, some tea, and a large blanket and I headed out.
When I got there the park wasn’t overly filled, but it wasn’t empty either. I found a nice area near one of the groups of trees and unpacked. The air smelled like Spring. Children flew kites around the area while some adults had small cook outs. There were a few people walking their dogs and a group of young guys went around climbing the trees. I put in my headphones and spent some time absorbing it all. I ended up staying there for about five hours and not getting as much work done as I hoped. It was just too nice of a day.
For lunch I packed some fruit and a shrimp salad. The shrimp was sautéed in grapeseed oil with salt, pepper, and garlic. It was my first time ever making shrimp that way and it complimented the rest of the salad perfectly. I also made some Dragonfruit Devotion tea. I’ll be doing a review on that soon.
I couldn’t leave without taking a little bit of a hike. I love walking through the metro parks in the area. They always prove to be very scenic.
I hope you all enjoyed the photos.
Peace,
