A little over a week ago, I had the pleasure of checking out this new fast food restaurant in the Cuyahoga Falls area. It’s an independently owned restaurant that uses quality ingredients at affordable prices. They’ve only been open since June, but from what I’ve experienced I believe they will be around for a while.
Retro Dog sells hot dogs, vegetarian sausages and hot dogs, fries, home-made root beer, and custard. It’s a dine in or drive in type of restaurant which goes along with the whole retro theme.
The employees definitely gave me the whole retro feel with the way they dressed and the colors of the restaurant are loud but melded together well.
Because I spend the majority of my time eating vegetarian I wasn’t as overwhelmed by the menu as other people would be. I ended up settling on the Italian Veggie Sausage with home-made Root Beer. The sausage was made of eggplant, fennel, garlic, and red pepper, but let me tell you that it tasted very close to what the meat version does. The fries were crispy and tasty, and the Root Beer was good, but the size of the large was not what I expected versus their other large drinks. I understand that it’s home-made but if I knew the actual amount I would have settled on another drink or just gotten a regular.
Overall, it was a really good experience and I plan on going back next week. Plus, I got some really good shots there. Enjoy.
Cheers,
