If man has no tea in him, he is incapable of understanding truth and beauty.

As promised, I have the first “Tea of the Week” post. This week’s tea is the White Ayurvedic Chai from Teavana.
White tea helps detoxify and hydrate the body. It is a natural killer of viruses and bacteria as well as help lower blood pressure and cholesterol. It is also found to be good for your skin and has anti-aging properties.
This particular tea is made of cinnamon, cloves, black & red pepper, coconut, and lemongrass along with white and green tea. It has a nice spicy smell when I open the tin. When steeped it still smells of cinnamon and cloves but it isn’t as strong. The color is a deep reddish-golden color as you can see from the picture. The taste is smooth and complex with a slight kick at the end from the spices. Often times I blend this with the Samurai Mate Chai from Teavana because the flavors meld together well. I think that this would be pretty good for a Chai latte as well. You would probably have to add more tea when steeping to strengthen the flavor though.
If you’ve tried it before let me know in the comments. I would love to hear what you think about it.
Until later loves,
-M.A.
