Internship Event: Austen BioInnovation

I know I haven’t spoken about my internship at all on here but I suppose now is a good time. In addition to my day job, I am also a Marketing Communications Intern for a printing/specialty packaging/temporary display company. I handle some social media things like blog posts, design internal books as well as a couple external things, write press releases, pitch stories, hang out with my really cool boss, and go to awesome events.

Today’s post is about one of those events. The last Friday in September I went to an event with my boss to take some photos of the signage that our company created, celebrate the grand opening with a client, and mingle with some great professionals. Our client was Austen BioInnovation in Akron, OH. It is a medical training and research facility that is a partnership between the three area hospitals as well as the University of Akron and one of the medical schools in the area.

Me and my boss (who you can see in many of the photos) took a tour of the institute, tested out some of the new equipment, met the CEO, and my boss got a disgusting looking fake wound. I opted out of that in favor of taking some really gross photos. Her facial expressions were hilarious!

Well, enjoy!
