Finding Reality

All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.

I once read a novel that had a place called the Dreaming in it. The Dreaming was a realm between realms. It was a place that held secrets and was unlike the realm in which we reside.

I loved the concept. Maybe it is because I am a dreamer by nature? Maybe there is a realm beyond this one where all our dreams reside.  A realm where anything is possible. Every thought, every desire stands right within our grasp.

What I do know is that my dreams have always revealed to me things about myself that I may not know or want to know. Through my dreams I grow just as I do in my waking hours. I learn and experience new things. I crave to make the impossible possible.

I have always dreamed in sets of three, my birthday is full of them. I know that to be a powerful number. Many times when people want something to be birthed into existence they tend to speak it in threes.

Threes are very powerful in religion as well. It is seen as divine perfection and the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. In the wiccan religion, it is said that whatever energy you put out, you will receive back three-fold and it has the goddesses the Maiden, The Mother, and The Crone. In christianity, there’s the Trinity (but the symbol started way before that religion began). In ancient Greece, there are The Three Graces, The Three Fates, the three headed-dog, Cerberus. Heck even the “Charmed ones” (Television series) had to be in a set of three in order to be at their strongest.

So the fact that I dream in threes means to me that there is something that I must learn or know. Sometimes it may not be the most pleasant bit of knowledge but I know that it is to help me become a better, more evolved person.  When I wish not to face something I can often see it plague my dreams until I’ve dealt with it.

Sometimes things I never expected would happen, happen. About a month or so ago something extremely weird happened that never had happened before. It intrigues me still to this day and I’m trying to figure out what it means. I won’t go in-depth about it, but it was quite fascinating.

Anyway, I seem to have gone on a tangent. This blog post was supposed to be less about me and my dreams and more about turning your dreams into a reality. The quote above is right on point. Those that believe that their dreams are not just frivolous fantasies have a better chance of achieving them.

If you have dreams don’t let anyone or anything stand in your way. It is your life. Yet, now I feel like I should put a disclaimer. I do not condone nor stand hurting others for the sake of your dreams. I am here to promote positivity.  There is enough ignorance and hatred in this world and I hope that one day it can be dispelled.

Well that’s all I got for now.

Later loves,

-M.A.
