Deli Days: Franklin Square Deli

IMG_6248Recently, I hit the Franklin Square Deli for lunch after a photo shoot, I had. I don’t get out to downtown Kent as often since I’m no longer living in that area. I’ve been to this deli a few times and I have yet to have a bad experience. I figured I needed to finally get it on the blog so everyone can learn about their greatness.

IMG_6250Franklin Square Deli is actually on the corner of Water St. and Main St. instead of Franklin St. a block over. It’s not a huge place, but they’ve renovated it a bit since the last time I was there. In addition to indoor seating, you’re able to sit outside when the weather is nice.

They have a wide array of subs, baked ciabatta sandwiches, thin pizzas, pitas and more. I got the Little Italy on ciabatta bread with a side of coleslaw. The coleslaw is nothing to really write home about, but the sandwich was amazing. Just think, Pepperoni, Salami, Prosciutto, Capocollo, Provolone, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Onions all topped with their special submarine garnish. Yum. I destroyed that sandwich.

IMG_6260I would suggest giving it a try. It’s not incredibly expensive either. I’m quite positive I was able to get everything (sandwich, coleslaw, and drink) for under $10 or close to it.
