A little more than a year ago, I found out that my best friend was pregnant. It was a shock to us both (this being her first child) and I was extremely worried for her. But beyond that worry, I knew that she would be a good mom.

When Cj entered this world last December, he was an adorable little thing with a head full of hair. I remember holding him within the first couple hours of his life and I knew that he would always be my little bean. Over the course of this year I’ve watched him grown and change. He’s become a very silly little boy with a big personality.

Mary, my best friend, has done an amazing job raising him and I can’t wait to see what he becomes under her careful hand. These photos were taken at his first birthday party. I hope you all enjoy them.
