On Sunday, August 18th, I had the pleasure of going to an Entrepreneur Mix & Mingle on the south side of Akron. Featured were a lot of local, minority, small businesses and I was extremely impressed by many of their presentations. There was everything from food to clothing. Below are a few of the businesses that really stood out to me.
Delightfully Dipped Delites is a small business that was featured on this blog a little over a week ago. I mentioned previously that the owner is a friend of mine and her desserts are heavenly. I ended up purchasing another box before I left this event. Definitely check her out.
Lina Wines is a local (Cleveland area) winery that was established in 2012 They currently only sell four wines, but I got a chance to taste them all. Rage is a Acai Raspberry Cabernet Sauvignon, Primo Anno is a Kiwi Pear Sauvignon Blanc, Red Head is a Watermelon White Merlot, and Pink Lips is a Strawberry White Merlot. They are all sweet wines but my favorite would have to be the Rage and the Primo Anno. There was something about those two that really called to me. Currently, you can order these online on their website which is what I plan to do very soon.
Recycled Treasures is an online consignment boutique that specializes in upscale, pre-loved apparel. I’m in love with their logo design. Their motto is “If we won’t wear it, we won’t sell it.” I had a look at their collection and I’m extremely impressed by their items. I’m all about recycling clothing. Just because an item doesn’t appeal to you anymore doesn’t mean it can’t be someone else’s treasure.
Everywoman Clothing Boutique is a local clothing brand that was also featured there. I first found out about them through Instagram because my friend (Owner of Delightfully Dipped Delites) was one of their models. I really love their outfits and the fact that they use all different types of women to showcase their clothing. There’s this turquoise and pink outfit I have my eye on. You can call at 216-245-7134 or check out their instagram: @everywomanboutique
Here are a few more photos from the event.
